Indiana’s Smoke-free Policy

Indiana’s inaugural statewide smoke-free air law was enacted on July 1, 2012, after being signed into law by Governor Mitch Daniels on March 19, 2012. This comprehensive smoke-free air policy bans smoking in most public spaces and workplaces. Promotus Advertising played a pivotal role in this transition by designing and executing a full-scale campaign that assisted public spaces and workplaces in understanding the law’s implications and preparing for its implementation.
